NOTE TO OUR LOYAL ARTISTS It is with sadness we have decided to close the Take-a-Word challenge. Since Marie's passing nine months ago, we have continued to administer the three challenges (Take-a-Word, Three Muses, and Digitalmania), but we have a need to lessen the load a bit. We ask that our loyal followers here at Take-a-Word continue to share your talents at Three Muses or Digitalmania (which is a Flickr site). We are immensely grateful for your participation for the past ten years or so, and hope to see you there. The bee challenge will be the final challenge for Take-a-Word. Ann and Bev

Take a Word Challenge #33 - Insects

Wow!  Who said insects can be boring?  Willy has given us this scrumptious sample picture to inspire us.  Thanks so much, Willy.  What a celebration of colour!
Yes, the theme this week is INSECTS.  We can't wait to see what you do with your creepy crawlies.

    Willy, your sample is wonderful! The colors are stunning.
    Here is my insect piece; as you'll see, I tend to keep my insect images minimal (if non-existent) due to, shall we say, some phobias :).

    Yep, my insect piece is sparse, too. I don't like very many insects. I do think bees are pretty nice, though, as long as you don't step on one. My picture is on my blog here.
