NOTE TO OUR LOYAL ARTISTS It is with sadness we have decided to close the Take-a-Word challenge. Since Marie's passing nine months ago, we have continued to administer the three challenges (Take-a-Word, Three Muses, and Digitalmania), but we have a need to lessen the load a bit. We ask that our loyal followers here at Take-a-Word continue to share your talents at Three Muses or Digitalmania (which is a Flickr site). We are immensely grateful for your participation for the past ten years or so, and hope to see you there. The bee challenge will be the final challenge for Take-a-Word. Ann and Bev

Take a Word Challenge - Blackbird


 
This week our theme word is BLACKBIRD and our host is William (Bill) with this magnificent piece, although it seems the black bird is showing us what he thinks of it.  Just as well Mr Poe is wearing a hat!!  Thankyou, Bill.  You always give us something special, laced with your wicked sense of humour.

    To indybev - I appreciate your looking at my work. I'm thinking the only fix is for me to move off tumblr. They've been promising upgrades and I've been waiting to see if that's going to include a proper comment feature. Right now, you have to program in a 3rd party commenting service and the two I've tried have worked out badly - tons of spam let in, friends locked out - so if nothing better's on the horizon, it's time to move.
